Vermont is a place I go to spend some time with my family who live over there. Every time I visit I'm so welcomed and I always have so much fun, planning loads of different trips and activities whilst I'm there.
The family house that everyone in my family wants to own!
Upon arrival it's a tradition to go to Chili's Restaurant and grab some food! I always know what I'm going to have straight away, their Quesadillas are the best! If you've never been to a Chili's before then you're missing out! Since I'm a nice guy and I don't want you to miss out on this opportunity I'll add the link here : www.chilis.com/menu
Feeling hungry now? ;)
Anyway...actually no, since we're talking about food, if you visit the state of Vermont, you need to visit the Ben & Jerry's factory in Waterbury. It is the original factory, it's the home of Ben & Jerry's; take a tour of the factory, see how their world famous ice cream is made and if you're lucky you get to try free samples of flavours that no one else has ever tried - you can be the first! My favourite flavour is either Cherry Garcia or Strawberry Cheesecake, what's yours?

Burlington in Vermont is a very tranquil city; lying on the shore of Lake Champlain, you can see the state of New York on the other side of the lake, if you continue North you will reach Canada, and surrounding the city lie the Green Mountains. The Main Street in Burlington is ideal for a spot of shopping! The waterfront by the lake offers some great walks, and if you have time you can visit the aquarium or hire a bicycle and cycle along the shore. One of my favourite things to do here is drive to the Sunset Movie Theatre - the typical American outdoor movie theatres where you sit in your car and watch movies, just like you see in films! Here, movies start at sunset and you can watch up to 3 films (or however many you can stay awake for since the last ones finish at almost 3am!) Just simply drive to each screen and watch whichever movie you like, and of course there's snacks too!

Like I said before, Vermont is known as the Green Mountain State - Mount Mansfield is the highest mountain in Vermont, standing at 4,395ft (1,339m). It's name comes from the shape of the mountain; if you look closely enough Mount Mansfield is the shape of a face. The mountain itself is an easy hike, accessible for all abilities. If you start at the bottom of the mountain at Stowe, you can take a cable car all the way up - an easy way to admire the view! Funny story actually, I started the hike from the other side of the mountain, from Underhill, it was just me and my dog. We made it to the top but I wanted to get some more water for the way down, so we descended a little and went to the cable car station, got some water and then headed back for the way down. However, we took a wrong path and ended up in Stowe, and my car, well that was an hours drive round the mountain!

I always look forward to going back again, it's a place I can just go to over and over again!
