Follow me as I take you on a journey through this stunning city: passing through the Roman Aqueduct we lead to the Cathedral of Segovia, before heading onto the famous Alcazar...
Before going to this city it was only a place I had heard of. On one of my flights I passed over this city and saw how beautiful it was - you could easily see the three major landmarks in the city: the Aqueduct, the Cathedral and the Alcazar (a castle). After then I started planning a trip to go straight there and see it from the ground myself!
We arrived early in the morning around 9am or so to make sure we had enough time to visit everything! Straight away the Aqueduct catches your eye and it's the first place everyone goes to! I personally recommend coming here early because otherwise there will be lot of tourists at the site! Once we finished taking photos we decided to walk the entire length of the Aqueduct...
The Aqueduct of Segovia
Then it was time for the Cathedral located in the main square (Plaza Mayor) - the Cathedral of Segovia is one of the best cathedrals I have been to, it's nice on both the outside and on the inside too. You could easily get lost inside and forget all about the time. Of course there's an entrance fee but if you pay a little bit extra you're allowed to go up one of the towers and trust me it is worth it! Once you climb the 150 stairs or so you are greeted with the view of the city, and from here you can see everything. Towards the North you can see the Alcazar of Segovia and in the South the Guadarrama Mountains overlooking the city.
Onwards from the cathedral we head to the Alcazar, the castle of Segovia. It looks like something just from a fairytale! You can spend all day looking at it from the outside but its time to enter. You can also go to the top of the towers and take a look at the view. Just below the castle there is a park which offers spectacular views, as well as from the road that goes all the way round.
The Alcazar of Segovia
To end our day we drive away from Segovia and head to two nearby palaces for sunset - the Royal Palace of Riofrio and the Royal Palace of La Granja de San Ildefonso. At around this time it is too late to go inside but they are still impressive from the outside. We take a few photos at each place before the darkness sets in and it's time to drive back home.

This city will always be one of my favourite cities that I've been to; actually I must say I prefer this city than the capital of Spain - Madrid. So if any of you are in the area, I really recommend coming here!
