Home Sweet Home

Everybody enjoys the comfort of their own home no matter where in the world it is, so here is all about mine...

I grew up in a small town called Hadleigh. It's located in the East of England in the county of Suffolk, about 1-2 hours or so from the Central London. I lived there for 20 years until I moved to Spain where I live now.

My home town - Hadleigh, Suffolk

Hadleigh is an ancient historic town with a population of approximately 9,000 people. With such a small community you almost know everybody; it is where the majority of all of my family and friends live. I went to Hadleigh Community Primary School where I began to make friends before moving to Hadleigh High School. After graduating from Hadleigh High School I went to college at Colchester Sixth Form. Ipswich is the closest largest town from Hadleigh but I decided to go to Colchester because I wanted to meet new people.

Hadleigh has some remarkable places of interest: St Mary's Church is one of the most beautiful churches of England in my opinion, there is the Deanery Tower, the Guildhall, the Railway Walk and Toppesfield Bridge overlooking the picturesque River Brett. However above all, my favourite place is a place we call 'the Pillbox', on top of the hills and you can see the entire town, it gives you tremendous views!

When I turned 16 I got my first proper job in the Kings Head. I continued to work here with the support of all of my colleagues and customers until I was 20. I built up such a good reputation with everyone, they became sort of like a family to me. It was a great experience and really shaped me to be who I am today - I really enjoyed it!

If you ask anybody about Suffolk I'm sure they'll say its pretty much full of farms, but we are known for so much more:

  • Adnams Ale

  • Aspalls Cider

  • Newmarket Horse Racing

  • Suffolk Punch Horses

  • Sutton Hoo Archaeological Site

  • 'The Castle on the Hill'

  • The Suffolk Show

Anyway I love my home and where I'm from. I'm proud to be from Suffolk and I'm proud to be British! Let me know in the comments section where you guys are reading this blog from! All the best...
